Ed & Anna Mandrik Memorial Golf Classic
We honored our beloved Ed and Anna Mandrik at a golf outing in their memory. We are grateful for their nearly 30 years of commitment to our organization. Without them, there would be no Have A Heart. They are forever in our hearts.

2021 Walk for Healthy Hearts
We were thrilled to host our first event post-pandemic! Over 60 walkers joined us in person and virtually at our Walk for Healthy Hearts on April 18, 2o21. Best of all, we were joined by several past recipients, including Hope, our Walk Ambassador!
The event raised over $5,000 to help Staten Islanders with heart-related illness. Thanks to all of our walkers, sponsors, and volunteers!
Breakfast With Santa 2019

Annual Golf Outing 2019
We hosted our 27th Annual Golf Outing on Monday, June 3rd. At the event, we honored Zane Tankel, Roy Raeburn, and Kim Cafaro of Apple Metro Inc./Applebee’s Grill & Bar and MaryLee Montalvo of MLM Public Relations. Congratulations to the honorees and all who joined us for a wonderful day of golf!
2019 5K Walk-Run
On Sunday, April 7th, we held our annual 5K Walk-Run at Clove Lakes Park. Over 115 people participated!

2018 5K Walk-Run
On Sunday, September 30, 2018, we hosted our annual 5K Walk-Run at Silver Lake Park. Over 60 people participated in the event.
Following the race, the Have A Heart Board of Directors presented a donation to Michael Modica, who recently had a heart transplant and participated in the walk. You can learn more about his story here.

Annual Golf Outing 2018
On Friday, June 8th, 2018, we held our 26th Annual Golf Outing. At the event, we honored the South Shore Rotary Club, the Staten Island Athletic Club, and the Richmond Masonic Association. Congratulations to all the honorees, and thank you to all who joined us!

2017 5K Walk-Run
The Have A Heart Foundation of Staten Island is pleased to announce the winners of the organization's annual 5K Walk-Run. Theevent took place on Sunday, October 15th at Silver Lake Park Reservoir. Over 75 people participated in the walk-run.
“We were thrilled to once again host this race, which raises funds to help Staten Island heart patients in need,” said CEO and co-founder Ed Mandrik. “Congratulations to the winners and all who joined us for a great race for a worthy cause!”

25th Anniversary Golf Outing
On Friday, June 9th, the we held our 25th Anniversary Golf Outing at Silver Lake Golf Course. At the event, the we presented an award to Richmond County Savings Bank. Our Board of Directors was honored for 25 years of service, with special awards presented to Ed Mandrik, the organization's co-founder, and Vince Monardo, Have A Heart's president.
"I'm so proud of this organization, which has grown exponentially over the past 25 years," noted Julie Weissglass Cohen, co-founder of the Have A Heart Foundation. "It was particularly touching to have so many people that we've helped over the years join us as we celebrated our big anniversary. Thank you to all of those who have supported us for your generosity and dedication to helping Staten Islanders."
151 golfers participated in the event. The golf outing was sponsored by Skechers.
2016 5K Charity Walk-Run
We hosted our annual 5K Walk-Run on Sunday, October 16th, 2016 at Silver Lake Park Reservoir. Over 80 walkers and runners participated, with awards going to the top finishers.
The men’s overall winner was Jose Davila and the women’s overall winner was Isabelle Fiduccia.
The event was sponsored by Magenheim Chiropractic, North American Data Forms and Skechers.
2015 Golf Outing
We held our 23rd Annual Golf Outing & Lobster Dinner at Silver Lake Golf Course on Friday, June 12, 2015. At the event, we presented our President's Award to Daniel J. Messina, Ph.D., President & CEO of Richmond University Medical Center. Robert Annicharico of Delco Pharmacy and Giulliana Pinzon of Sketchers Shoes were also honored at the event.
"To honor Dan Messina is particularly fitting, since the Have A Heart Foundation first began when I met co-founder Ed Mandrik while working at the cardiac rehabilitation center at St. Vincent's Hospital, which is now RUMC. After seeing people struggle to pay their medical bills, we decided to start a charitable organization to help Staten Islanders with heart disease," noted Julie Weissglass Cohen, Have A Heart co-founder. "We are proud to recognize Dan Messina and RUMC's commitment to helping Staten Islanders with heart and heart-related illnesses."
150 golfers participated in the event.
